High-level probe committee formed on Tiwari’s murder

The government has formed a high level committee to probe the murder of Durga Prasad Adhikari, Rupandehi district chairman of Youth Association, a youth wing of the CPN-UML. The Home Ministry formed the four-member committee under the coordination of Additional Inspector General of Nepal Police, Bigyan Raj Sharma, said Ministry Spokesperson, Balkrishna Panthi, adding that the committee has been given 15 days to bring to public the facts on murder. Other members of the probe committee are Director at National Investigation Department, Yadav Prasad Regmi, Senior Superintendent of Police, Manoj Neupane, and Under Secretary at Home Ministry, Shivraj Joshi. Police have launched the manhunt around the border area to find the shooter. Meanwhile, the Youth Association had demanded Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi to form the probe committee. An unidentified person on motorcycle had shot at Tiwari leading to his death during treatment at Devdaha Medical College on Monday.
