Paanchthar’s normal life was given an unusual weather-triggered brake after a snowfall accompanied by hailstorm, on Friday.
The hailstorm and snowfall after a long time in the district have caused considerable damages to the seasonal crops and other vegetables including maize, according to farmers.The weather hit the district’s Memeng, Prangbung, Pauwasartap, Ranitaar in the hilly areas and Sarangdanda, Mauwa among other villages in the lower lands, said Purna Jagebu of Thangnam village.
