Kathmandu, 22nd April: North Korea COULD launch a nuclear strike against large parts of South-East Asia (especially South Korea and/or Japan) On a good day, it could hit the closest part of the US. (And that’s optimistic)
Theoretically there is a possibility that one day all their empty threats escalate to something more. So yes, there IS a risk. On paper.
In practise however, it is regarded as unlikely. A nuclear strike from North Korea would invite a devastating counter attack from the US and China would not do anything to stop them. Worse still, North Korea would probably be invaded by BOTH China and America, with the only question being who invaded first.
