Voting started at a polling station at Nilkantha in Dhading’s district headquarters with elderly persons above 80 having casting their vote. Ruplal Shrestha, 90, cast his ballot followed by Pushpa Raj Sapkota, 90, Dil Bahadur Amatya, 84, and Jibanath Rijal, said election officer Yagya Prasad Dhakal. There are a total of 33,099 voters in Nilkantha Municipality that was created by merging three VDCs and one municipality. The voting started from 5 am while people with disabilities, elderly and pregnant women have been prioritised. There are a total of 251 polling stations from 109 polling centers where the voting is going on.
